Accessing Email on Mobile Devices or Desktop Applications

If you would like to set up your email on a mobile device, or would like to use an email application such as Outlook to get your email, then this article is for you.

On nearly all mobile email applications, there is a place to enter manual settings.  Sometimes it's labeled as "Manual Setup", sometimes "Advanced Settings". However it's labeled on your device, you will see the same fields as shown below, although you might not see all of them.  That's okay, just fill out the ones that are available. If you have any difficulty with this, we are here to help.

Use this guide to complete the settings on your mobile device:

[Note: For demonstration purposes, we will be using "" as the name of our sample site. Please replace "" with the actual domain name of your website.]

Password: (password you chose when you created the email address)
Incoming server:
Port:  For IMAP, use 993 --- For POP3, use 995 (more info below)
Outgoing server:
SMTP Port: 465
Always Use SSL/TLS

IMAP and POP3 are basically two different methods of working with email behind the scenes, and the technical differences are not very important to the end user.  What IS important, however, is that IMAP coordinates mail read, replied, and deleted with the server, whereas POP3 does not.

Once you have completed the settings fields above, you should be able to get and send email from your mobile device.

As always, if you have any difficulties, please don't hesitate to contact us directly and we will be happy to help you set up your email accounts.
